Look Mum!
I’m an Artist!

This project is a love letter to al the moving pieces that make me who I am—
a love letter the viola, the music that sparked my creativity, brave women, and expressive freedom

Featuring experimental renditions of Bach using prepared bows, reimaginations
of tracks by Nico + The Velvet Underground and Yoko Ono, and arrangements of Ravel and a choral work by Betty Jackson King.

Like the awkward cousin rarely invited to family gatherings, the viola doesn’t get enough attention—but here, she’s the star.

Inspired by years of posing in poofy dresses for Suzuki graduations and rigourous classical training, this compilation feels like a reclamation of my power as an artist.

Things don’t need to be a certain way just because we are told
that is so...
